Hey everyone! I’m back within a week! I didn’t go on another several month hiatus again. Told you all I would keep it up this time. 😛
Anyway, this week I have some lovely swatches of the new ColourPop In Bloom set! I was pretty excited to order this set because I don’t own a single thing of theirs yet, but I have heard so many good things about them through Instagram and Youtube! I’m not really going to do an in-depth review or anything because I haven’t had a chance to REALLY play around with them yet. Just some swatches here and there. But lemme tell you all…they swatch BEAUTIFULLY so I can’t wait to play with them a bit more!
Alright! Let’s get into it!
First of all, the packing. This company really cares about their products arriving safely because, my goodness, the set came wrapped in layers of foam. That is AWESOME! Also, the box is really pretty on the inside so that’s obviously another plus. ha!
Along with the makeup set, they threw in a couple of cards and a handwritten note. The note was so cute and dorky…it made me giggle instantly and I fell in love with the company right then!
See that, guys? I am SO awesome! hehe
The time and care taken into wrapping the products safely and writing a handwritten note made me instantly like ColourPop!
Like I said earlier, the set comes with 3 cheek colors and 3 lipsticks. Let’s start off with the cheek colors! Two of the colors are blushes, while the other is a pretty highlight. When I swatched them, I was completely surprised to find out that they are cream blushes! I was expecting a powder, but then my finger squished right into it. haha! The colors went on nice and smoothly when I swatched them.
And now, the Lipsticks! These babies are quite pigmented and creamy! They also felt easier to apply than normal shaped lipsticks since the sticks are so small! You can get really precise with them. I would probably recommend getting a lipliner or using a lip primer with these because, as you can see in the lip swatches, they tried to feather out a bit.
Also, the color Sweet Thing really surprised me when I swatched it. It comes off much lighter than it looks in the stick. Once you use it a bit, you can see the true color start to show!
And that’s the set! Maybe I’ll have an in-depth review after playing around with these guys some more.
If you’re interested in getting your own In Bloom set, it’s $39 and can be found here!
Thanks for looking! I’ll be back with swatches from the new Tarte ShowStopper palette soon!
