I woke up to some awesome news this morning. My Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette was boarded up into the UPS truck and out for delivery! Those are my absolute favorite words when I’m waiting on something awesome! “Out for delivery”. The giddy feeling I get from it will never go away!
Anyway, earlier than expected, I got a knock on my door and there it was! I opened the package and dug in! I had seen pictures of the packaging, but it was even more beautiful in person!
You turn the box around and it shows pictures of the included shadows along with a little description of the palette.
This palette, which is $54, contains 12 eyeshadows. 9 of the shadows are never before seen shades and 3 of them are exclusives which have been seen in their other palettes. The shadows range from shimmers to satins to mattes. Also included in the box is a double ended brush that has one smudger end and one tapered crease end. I usually just get these brushes and set them aside. And lastly, it comes with a paper that shows four different looks you can create with the palette and some pretty awesome tips for creating the perfect smoky eye!
I think that out of all of the Naked palettes, this one is my favorite when it comes to packaging. My original Naked palette is starting to look like my dog buried it in the dirt and then recovered it after scratching it up a few times. haha! The second and third are great, but I just don’t like how they clank against each other when I pack them due to them both being metal. This one is made of plastic and looks like it’s covered in smoke, just like the box it came in. It has a magnetic clasp, and has a nice big mirror. Flip it over and you can actually see through it a bit.
The Naked Smoky palette released on UrbanDecay.com on July 8th, will be available on Sephora and Ulta online starting July 12th, and in stores July 16th.
Now, let’s get to the swatches!
I hope you all enjoyed the swatches!
Until next time!
